We attach great importance to the privacy of all our clients. At Totalspeech online speech therapy, we work fully in accordance with the guidelines of the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation). Personal data is processed carefully and securely and is only stored for as long as necessary, in accordance with the retention period established by the NVLF (Professional Association for Speech Therapy and Phoniatrics). For our online treatments, we use WeSeeDo, a secure platform in which the privacy and confidentiality of client data are guaranteed.
Quality test
Health insurers conduct random checks to ensure the quality of care. This is investigated by an independent company. At that time, your patient data is protected by the Personal Data Protection Act (WBP).
Data breach
As of May 25, 2018, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) mandates the reporting of data breaches. We make every effort to prevent a data breach. However, should a data breach occur in our system, we will report it to the Dutch Data Protection Authority as soon as possible.
Information exchange
It may be necessary for us to consult with the referrer and/or (para-)medical colleagues in the interest of the treatment. We will do this in consultation with you. In accordance with the Methodical Speech Therapy Practice guideline, we are required to send a report to the general practitioner upon completion, or at least annually.

Complaints We believe it is important that you are satisfied with the care you receive from us. However, it may happen that you are dissatisfied with something. In that case, we advise you to discuss your complaint with us first, so that we can find a solution together. If we are unable to resolve the matter together, we will use the complaints procedure of the NVLF (Dutch Association for Speech Therapy and Phoniatrics). This independent procedure helps to handle your complaint carefully and fairly.
